After our visit to Pompeii with Asoka we also visited Paestrum with the same operator. Mario was very knowledgeable and went out of his way describing everything that is currently known about this old Greek town. We can trully recommend this tour.

The guide was excellent—very knowledgeable. The Greek ruins were spectacular—and they let you walk in them and get some great pictures. The tour included a ticket for the ruin museum which housed some beautiful artifacts. Didn’t realize Paestum had such an extensive Greek colony site. Definitely worth coming here.

Our guide Mario took us on a two hour tour of the site of Paestum. He was the best guide we had on this recent trip to Europe with deep knowledge and enthusiasm of his topic. He could answer every question and also had a sense of humour. I would thoroughly recommend you take this tour and hopefully Mario will be your guide.

Mario was a fantastic guide - the best we have had in 8 weeks of travelling. He could answer every question with a wealth of knowledge. Mario has a passion for the archaeology, the Paestum park and went over the allotted time reflecting this passion. I could not recommend any one more highly.

We had a great guide —Mario. So much clear and interesting information. The temples were amazing, especially the one they think was Neptune’s Temple. Although there was no way to cover it all, we felt we got a cohesive story of the site’s development. Highly recommend this tour

Guide very knowledgeable but a little hard to understand. Learnt heaps, excellent day. Highly recommend. Easy train ride to Paestum from Salerno.

Ivan's work at the site informed this excellent tour of Paestum. Educational as well as fascinating, the tour covered factual history as well as theoretical interpretations from an insider perspective. And it was fun! Highly recommend

This was an excellent tour! Our guide, Mario, was so knowledgeable and had really interesting info to share. He tailored the tour to what would be different from the other sites we were seeing, so it was a very unique experience. I would happily take any tour led by Mario!

The tour was as promoted, two hours with an archaeologist. She shared so much with us, but due to the group size (12) she often had her back to us and surrounding crowds made it difficult to hear everything. The most significant challenges were in the museum, due to echoing and even closer proximity to other groups. I would suggest supplying personal audio devices in order for everyone to equally hear what the guide is saying. I didn’t want to miss any of her shared knowledge and information.

The guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand. The design of the tour was too rushed (only got to barely see 2 of the 3 temples and not even walk all the way around those two). Then we rushed through part of the museum. At the end we could either spend more time in the museum OR go back to the temples/town site but tickets would not allow for both. Next time I would pick a tour that was the ruins only, so I could spend more time there after the tour and then do the museum on my own. Also this was definitely not a small group tour, it probably had 20 people. It was too many
