MARBLE MOUNTAINS, also known as Ngu Hanh Son, is the group of five hills, made of limestone and marble. They look like 5 fingers lying close to the sea. There are several caves, caverns, pagodas, many stairs and 2 spectacular viewing points. They are also home to several Buddhist sanctuaries and Hindu grottoes which are much visited places of worship for the local population. The Marble Mountain has become one of the must-see destinations for those who enjoy the beauty of nature and want a respite from the busy urban areas. At the foot of the mountains there is a traditional marble fine art village which is over 300 years old. You will admire its talented craftsmen, their creativity and their uniquely beautiful works. MONKEY MOUNTAIN, also known as Son Tra, which is home to the beautiful, marble statue of the Lady Buddha that can be seen from all along the Da Nang beach front. Here you can enjoy the serenity of this sacred place as well as the beautiful view of the Da Nang coastline.

Guide did a great job. There are a lot of steep steps to the very top but I managed. Very interesting and beautiful combination of places very close to Danang. My pickup in Danang was just after 8 a.m. and I was back at the hotel (even after a simple rice noodle lunch nearby) by about 12:30, giving me the rest of the day to do other things.

Well organized group tour and interesting sights. I can be quite a workout. Be prepared for many, many steps, but well worth it.

I booked this tour as it was advertised that you could get an elevator up to part of the mountain, I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and so struggle with steps especially uneven ones. When we arrived I asked about the elevator and was informed it was around the other side and could not be got to. So I sat in a cafe why the other people went up. When we all met up again we walked to the mini bus and there was the elevator, really annoyed about this as I could have enjoyed the trip but due to not fitting in with the other people the tour guide left me out. If he had taken the time to explain or even show me it would have been a totally different experience for me instead I was left looking at a so called mountain drinking a coffee. The food was as excellent but save your money unless you really want to buy very expensive marble gifts and look at caves.

Hue our guide was a local and very knowledgeable about the area. His English was excellent. We covered a lot of sights & there was plenty of time to ask questions. Lunch included delicious vegetarian options.

Tour was amazing, guide super funny. Hao gave a lot of information to prepare us for the climb beforehand. Hao detailed a lot of the historical, mythical and cultural significance of the mountains as well as the Lady Buddha statue. Definitely recommend.
