The island’s size works in your favour in this postcard-perfect full day tour of Malta. You’ll walk along the same narrow streets as the Knights of St John, take in the sights and smells of Malta’s most famous fishing village ‘Marsaxlokk’ and gaze in awe as you step into the island’s most ancient temples, dating back over 5,000 years. Enjoy the stunning views from Dingli Cliffs, tuck into a feast for your taste-buds with local ‘pastizzi’, before quietly wandering through the silent city of Mdina, with its jaw-dropping views of Malta. You’ll end your day the way the locals do, with delicate sand playing between your toes and the stresses of the day ebbing away. We cover the best of Malta in this full day tour, however if you’d like a more customised or specific themed experience of the country, just let us know. We’re happy to help.

We booked a full day Malta Loop tour. Malta is a stunning country. It was the second time we have been there and we still fell like we only scratched the surface. Our guide Sylvia was amazing. Her knowledge was endless and her enthusiasm for her job was great. I would highly recommend booking a tour with My Maltese Tour Guide.

We used this company to do 2 tours - walking tour of Valletta and a full day Malta tour. Both were excellent and planning and booking with Stephen - the owner - was like dealing with a friend. Our day with our guide Nick was particularly informative, entertaining and a wonderful day well spent. No Malta stone was left untouched. We loved it!

Nick was a fabulous tour guide and I truly appreciated his ability to tell the story of the island and not just comment on each specific site (or sight)! My only suggestion to those considering booking would be to take it at the beginning of your time on Malta to allow you time to return to a favourite spot or something you saw along the way!

On the recommendations of friends, we booked a full-day tour of Malta with Stephen and his team. Throughout the process of planning the trip, he was extremely responsive and helped us prepare a well-tailored tour of the island that included all of the top sites. Although the timing ultimately did not work out for us to go, his guidance and recommendations for other activities in Malta ensured that we had a wonderful holiday. I look forward to returning to Malta and will definitely contact My Maltese Guide when I do.

Had a wonderful day with Nick and he had great knowledge and passion on the history of Malta, and really felt like we were able to fit in a great tour of the key highlights of Malta in a day. Everything was well coordinated and would highly recommend the tour!

We spent a day with Miriam touring from Mellieha to Golden Bay, Mosta, Mdina/Rabat, Marsaxlokk, and Valletta. If you have little time on your visit to Malta, I especially recommend this trip to visit these sights. Miriam was extremely knowledgeable and flexible and recommended a delicious restaurant for lunch. Stephen was great to work with and immediately responsive to any questions. I would definitely book another tour with them on our next visit!

Very happy we booked this tour. Stephen, our Irish guide married to a Maltese took us around in a nice land rover. Our 2 young kids were quite noisy and he managed really well, was totally at ease and patient with kids, which in turn really put us at ease. From pick up at our hotel to customised tour, everything worked out perfectly, Incl lots of photo ops. A stress free day and I really recommend it. Worth the high price. Only small criticism was that he was keen to finish after exactly 8 hours, which rushed the last half hour.

I'll preface this review by mentioning that it is my first visit to Malta, and I am traveling with my Dad, and we both have traveled a fair bit in different places, mostly in Europe. Several years ago we realized that good, private tours were the way to go, while expensive, the time is much better spent getting the full attention and interaction of the guide, as opposed to spending half the tour loading and unloading people from busses from one of the big group tours. We booked the Full Day Malta tour a few months before our trip, having great communication with Stephen about the various details of the trip. The day before I received an email that our guide, Nick, would meet us in the hotel lobby in the morning. We descended to the lobby a bit early and found Nick already waiting for us - a few short minutes after an introduction to the tour, our driver arrived, and we set off. Now, in our 8 hours with Nick, we saw many sights in Malta, from coast to coast. I won't go into the details of the sights, but suffice to say that we saw a lot. Along the way, Nick filled us in on not only the rich history of the Island, but also on geography, religion, and aspects of life in modern-day Malta. Of course, the running theme was the history of the Island, as we view sights such as the ancient Temples and natural wonders like the Blue Grotto. I have always said that a good guide makes the trip. Nick was an excellent guide - picking up on places we wanted to spend more (or less) time and gauging the tour based on on conversations and interests. Nick was a dynamic guide and the history and his way of talking about the history is truly immersive. He is very good at what he does, and seems to enjoy it. We never felt rushed, and at the same time not a moment was wasted. This delicate balance made it feel that the pace was perfect - my dad is a retiree and Nick was mindful of warning us both of the sometimes uneven terrain. One of the best parts of having a good private guide is the "insider" information they provide - the information that doesn't make it into the tour books and postcards. Often the most fascinating aspects of a historical event are those that aren't widely publicized - but give keen insight into what was going on in the world at the time. My dad is a voracious reader and read many books about Malta before we made this trip - and he was amazed (as was I) about the interesting aspects of history that Nick shared with us that never made it to those books - facts backed up by almost "secret" details in a statue, painting, grave marker, etc. It's this aspect, along with the personal attention and genuine friendliness of a guide like Nick that makes the cost of such a tour well worth it. I give Nick and My Maltese Guide the highest rating possible, book them if you can!

I highly recommend this tour and particularly at the start of a visit to Malta. Flora gave us a great overview of the island and it helped us decide what to go back to on our own. She was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our interests.

My wife and i had the best experience during our trip through our guide Alfred and our driver Stephen! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver was obviously very experienced and well equipt to handle the varying road conditions. Got us everywhere we needed to go in a safe & timely manner! They made wonderful suggestions about where to have for lunch and activities throughout the whole of Malta. I would definitely recommend My Maltese Guide Private Tour to anyone looking for a great travel experience!
