1. Elephant Cave, also known as Goa Gajah, is a historic cave temple located in Ubud, Bali. The temple was built in the 9th century as a sanctuary of meditation for Hindu Buddhist monks. The entrance to the cave is carved to resemble a demon’s mouth, with an open mouth serving as the doorway. The cave interior features various statues and offerings, as well as a small meditation chamber. Beyond the cave, there are gardens and fountains with Hindu and Buddhist relics. The temple is also a popular site for ceremonial purification rituals.
