St. Barthelemy

The island of St. Barthelemy, also referred to as St. Barths or St. Barts, is located in the French West Indies. From its postcard harbor to its spectacular beaches, many travelers consider this beautiful little island to be the closest thing to heaven on earth. Rolling hills, picturesque villages and broad valleys are surrounded by coral reefs, gin-clear waters and blue-green lagoons. A favorite retreat for the rich and famous, St. Barthelemy is renowned for its natural beauty, delicious cuisine, chic boutiques and relaxed ambiance.

There are about twenty beaches on the island of St. Barthelemy, all with gleaming white sand.  Few of these beaches are ever crowded, even during peak season. Experienced visitors know that it is not important to stay at a hotel on the beach; most like to rent a car and explore a different beach every day.
