Grenada

Grenada is a three island state: Grenada, Carriacou, and Petit Martinique.  Grenada is the largest of the three, with a width of twelve miles (18 km) and a length of twenty-one miles (34 km).

Grenada has a very mountainous terrain  with impressive rainforests and waterfalls, but it has also been blessed with some of the most stunning bays and beaches.  There are about 45 beautiful beaches in Grenada. All beaches on the island are public property.

Did You Know?

Christopher Columbus discovered Grenada in 1498.The island was already inhabited by the Carib Indians, who had migrated from the South American mainland, killing or enslaving the peaceful Arawaks who where allready inhabiting the island.

Grenada has been nicknamed the ‘Spice Island’  because of its products such as cinnamon, nutmeg, mace and ginger.
