Other Africa

A tour of ancient Egypt with a Nile Cruise offers the ultimate in archeology travel. An Egyptian tour can be done by itself or it can easily be combined with a safari to Kenya or a week in the Imperial cities of Morocco. The political and economic situations in these less developed regions can sometimes make the travel experience much more involved, especially when traveling in those countries without a developed infrastructure capable of handling tourists comfortably. Tourism is important to the governments of these countries, as has been displayed in Egypt and Kenya, where heightened security measures have been implemented to support their tourism industry.

Egypt and the Nile - a basic 10-day tour including 5 night Nile cruise from $2650 per person double (including r/t air from NYC) Departures are limited.

A good value for those with limited time, this cruise/tour visits old Cairo, the pyramids and sphinx in Giza, as well as ancient Pharonic sites in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor, Thebes and the Valley of the Kings.
