Yokohama / Kamakura Half-Day Private Trip with Government-Licensed Guide

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Ausflug von unserem Kreuzfahrtschiff nach Kamakura. Unser Guide, Hide, war bestens vorbereitet und zusätzlich zu unserer geplanten Tour kam dann noch ein kleiner Abstechin ein kleines Café das zu einem traditionellen japanischen Theater gehört. Der Zufall wollte es, dass dort eine Probe stattfand. Welch ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Temple und Gärten von Kamakura sind zu jeder Jahreszeit einen Besuch wert. Vielen Dank an unseren Guide.

Because of mobility issues, we were concerned about a walking tour. However, our guide Hideaki-san was very accommodating and adapted his tour to exactly fit our needs. Hideaki-san has an excellent command of English, and knows his city and its history intimately. We walked through the city museum, and then stopped for coffee and a rest at a local cafe. We then used Yokohama's excellent train system to travel to other parts of the city, saving strength for the sights themselves, and returned to our ship via a very reasonably priced cab. Hideaki-san made us feel at home in his city, and we highly recommend him as a guide.

Excellent way to see some of the highlights in Yokohama. It was a private walking tour using public transportation. Our guide Yasuho was early picking us up and kept us busy for 5 hours. He is very knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was a great day.

Sam is a terrific tour guide, friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. A good communicator with a willingness to discuss both history and contemporary topics. The walking pace was comfortable and we stayed on schedule. Lunch was a very enjoyable example of regional cuisine, which was a surprise and certainly expanded our appreciation of Japan's complexity. Highly recommeded.

Takako was a fantastic guide! She was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions. She also customized our tour to do things that we wanted, and that were important to us. We would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Yokohama.

Same was the perfect host. He arrived early. We discussed the final route. And everything was perfect. He is knowledgeable about the area, but also the culture. Very enjoyable personality, and accommodating. Highly recommend Sam. He's the best!

Our Guide met with us at our cruise terminal right on time and off we went to Kamakura. What a beautiful place - we can highly recommend seeing the Buddha, temples and shrines in Kamakura. Yes, it is a busy place, especially on weekends but it is easy to get to from Yokohama and so special that it is well worth the trip. Our guide, Hide - a very fine gentleman - even brought us to a very small Cafe that is part of a traditional Japanese theatre and we were lucky to be able to catch part of a rehearsal. That was very special and we want to thank Hide for sharing this with us.

Shinji was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and he clearly enjoyed showing us his country. And the itinerary was excellent.

Middy arranged a bespoke day in Yokohama for my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed the waterfront and the very special go parlor match with Yokohama’s champion, followed by a dim sum finale in Chinatown.
