Traumhaft: Seelöwen-Schnorcheln auf Isla Espíritu Santo

Die Schnorcheltour war ein mega Erlebnis für uns. Wir wurden herzlichst von unserem Guide Dellis in Empfang genommen. Anschließend ging es mit einer kleinen Gruppe von 6 Leuten auf das Boot. Das Boot war in einem sehr guten und auch sauberen Zustand. Die Sitzpolster sind aus Kunstleder, sodass man die doch recht lange Fahrt zur Insel auch bei starken Wellengang aushalten kann - wurden gut durchgeschüttelt. Während derHinfahrt wurde uns durch Dellis bereits eine kleine Flasche Wasser angeboten. Zwischen durch gab es im guten English Informationen zur Vogelwelt und Geschichte der Insel. Bereits auf dem Weg konnten wir eine Delphineschule sehen, wofür das Boot auch angehalten und gewendet hat - Zeit für Bilder wurde hier ausreichend gegeben. Am Zielpunkt waren wir gut eine halbe Stunde im Wasser und schnorchelten mit zig Seelöwen durch das Meer. Neben den Seelöwen war auch die Vielzahl von Fischen und Fischschwärmen sehenswert. Nach der Schnorcheltour ging es wieder auf das Boot wo man mit einem kalten Corona oder einem anderen Getränk empfangen wurde. Anschließend ging es noch für 1 1/2 Stunden in eine mega schöne Bucht mit super klarem und stillen Wasser wo es auf dem Boot noch Sandwiches zum selber belegen gab. Auch hier haben sich Dellis und unser Capitan sehr viele Mühe gegeben alles zu ermöglichen. Die Zeit danach konnte man entweder am Strand laufen oder noch alleine weiter schnorcheln. Die Fahrt mit dem Boot dauert länger als gedacht und ein langers Oberteil so wie wechseloberteil sollte man mitbringen, die Fahrt ist recht spritzig. 🌊 Fazit: die beiden Guides haben die Tour super gemacht! Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt.

This tour was so wonderful! Our guide Maritza was incredible and Saul the driver was very friendly. Maritza made our experience so much better than we could’ve imagined. She was so thoughtful and provided such thorough explanations of all the sites and wildlife. The snorkeling was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The biodiversity in the coral is a site to behold. Highly recommend Maritza and Saul they’re an excellent duo and the tour itself is worth every penny.

We had a wonderful experience with Saul (captain) and Christina (guide). Our excursion was far less packed than the others we saw which gave us a more personalized and unique experience from the dozens of other options available. The food prepared was incredible and Saul took us to an extremely private beach. We saw humpback whales, multiple pods of dolphins and flying manta rays on our trip out and back to the Sea Lion island. Such a cool trip!

AMAZING!!! 100% recommend this company and trip. The staff Juan and Sal were so fantastic. They love conservation and the area. Passionate about wildlife! We felt very safe and so very grateful of this magical experience. We swam with sea lions!!! Saw sea turtles swimming, blue footed boobies, sting rays jumping, dolphins and everything. I can’t say enough great things about this adventure of a lifetime! Book it with SunRiders!!! We had the boat to ourselves! Just WOW!!!

We had the most amazing experience with the tour connected with Viator, SUnRiders. Gale and Quique were great. A few stops along the way along the cost of the island and then you end up at small island which is home to a colony of sea lions. Because it was winter, they provided us wetsuits to help with the fresh cool water and you acclimatize pretty quickly. Best to just float around and just look down and snorkel around. You will see sea lions swimming underneath you, playing or chasing each other. We were lucky enough to have juviniles swim close to us and one even climbed up on the back of one of our party for ten minutes playing. If you are wondering whether to choose the snorkel tour, i doubt it will disappoint your party. Even those who don't get in the water will still sense the thrill of being pretty close as they swim near the boat. Lunch was a picnic of make your own sandwich and fresh ceviche and snacks. The trip was well worth the splurge. They follow strick rules related to the UNESCO world heritage site of the Espíritu Santo island relates to all of the wildlife on the tour

I highly recommend this tour- we had the best time! It was so cool getting to snorkel with the sea lions. We also saw a ton of cool fish, a moray eel, and a sea turtle while snorkeling- and a pod of dolphins swam alongside our boat for a bit. Our guide, Gale, was awesome- super knowledgeable and friendly, and it was great chatting with them and the other people on the tour. The group was small, and it felt more like a private tour than your typical group tour. You can pick and choose how to spend the day (we chose to go snorkeling more instead of go to the beach). The boat ride to the island had great views, and ceviche lunch was delicious as well. This has been the highlight of my trip here, and one of the coolest snorkeling trips I’ve ever done. Its a wonderful way to spend your day and experience a really unique island and its ecology! I’m really glad we chose Sunriders for this experience.

I would do this tour every time I return to La Paz. Had an amazing day, we saw several different species of dolphins, devil rays and sea lions and learned a ton about the geography, geology and ecosystems in the area. Also had some of the best ceviches I’ve ever had on a perfect private beach.

The most memorable part of this trip! Our tour guides were super nice very helpful and informative. We loved snorkeling! Our group couldn’t stop talking about how incredible it was. We were able to sail by dolphins and swim with sea lions. And I just loved hanging around a secluded beach while we ate our sandwiches and ceviche. Also, don’t use Apple Maps to find their location! It took us to a completely different area across the pier so stick to google maps.

This was an excellent experience! Some of the best snorkeling I’ve done and ive snorkeled quite a few places. The captain and guide created an excellent experience. They were very nice and accommodating. They provided lots of cool information during the boat ride. Swimming with sea lions was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll never forget. There were tons of beautiful fish and we were the only snorkel group in the water which was awesome (we went in late May). We also saw a pod of dolphins playing on the ride back. The ceviche lunch was delicious as well. I’d definitely recommend this tour!
