Ätna & Alcantara: Unvergessliche Vulkan- & Schlucht-Tour

Wir hatten die Tagestour zum Ätna und in die Alcantara-Schlucht gebucht. Auf knapp über 2000 m liefen wir durch die "Mondlandschaft", bekamen vieles erklärt. Sehr interessant. Die Höhlenbesichtigung,....na ja, 2 m in eine kleine Höhle... Dann zum Mittagessen,welches nicht ,wie es in der Beschreibung stand, inklusive war. Nun ging es zur Alcantara Schlucht. Sehr erfrischend. Ein Spaziergang durch eine Schlucht.Das Wasser ging bis ca.Kniehöhe. Alle in allem eine schöne Tour. Negativ : Das nicht ,wie im Prospekt als kostenloses Essen beschrieben. keine Klimaanlage im Auto, wir konnten nicht,wie versprochen,mit Karte zahlen, sondern nur bar.

What an amazing experience to scale the slopes of Mount Etna, tour the Lava tube caves, Olive oil and wine tasting and waiting in the Alcantara river and exploring the gorges. Everything was absolutely breathtaking

Our day on Etna and in the Alcantara Gorges was my favorite day of the trip by far. Our host Constanza was phenomenal. A true Sicilian who was very knowledgable and funny.

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and kind- she knew loads about the history of the area! The views were amazing and just the right amount of time for a nice day out. I’d make sure to bring a waterproof backpack or a waterproof case for a phone for the water part plus some waterproof/ aqua shoes (I wore sliders and they were fine). Definitely a trip I’d suggest doing if you have a free day.

We went to Mt Etna and it was nice. Constance had alot to talk about on the way to the mountain. She showed us around some old flows, old cones and a cave. Then we went to Alcantara with Giuseppe. He was easy to talk with on the ride to the river. He left us for a couple hours to go play on the water. It was a small, scenic gorge. Bring a waterproof bag, because if you wanna go further up the river the water is deeper than your pockets and you need to use your hands for balance.

Poor vehicle safety: The passenger seats in the font were not firmly bolted in place. The backrest for accessing the rear rows of seats could not be fixed. There were exhaust fumes inside the vehicle, there was no air conditioning, which is why the windows were permanently open. We had booked a trip with a German-speaking tour guide. As no German-speaking tour guide was available, we were promised a compensation of €30, which we don‘t received. The guide was very friendly and competent.

Had the best time on this tour. Janet is so fun. Trekking up the mountain she wore a speaker around her neck and danced the way up, we all had a great time going up the mountain, taking a quick look around at others on their tour, we definitely were having a better time and it's all down to Janet's magnetic personality and ability to make everything fun. I enjoyed the tour but I'm sure any tour that Janet gives will be super fun and I will definitely be going on another excusion with her the next time I'm in Catania!

Consiglio vivamente il tour guidato firmato LemonTour a Catania! In mattinata abbiamo visitato le Gole dell'Alcantara, un canyon vulcanico che fa da cornice al fiume omonimo dall'acqua gelida, caratterizzato da un paesaggio così insolito e particolare da lasciare senza parole; in seguito abbiamo fatto una sosta a Zafferana dove abbiamo assaggiato una serie di prodotti locali raccomandati come olio, miele e vino; ci siamo avventurati in un tunnel vulcanico con elmetti e torce e infine dopo la pausa pranzo in uno dei rifugi ci siamo incamminati verso i principali crateri visitabili fino ad un altezza di 2000 metri circa. Voto 10 e lode alla nostra guida e autista Janet, non solo simpaticissima e di compagnia ma molto preparata ed esaustiva nelle spiegazioni e nelle risposte alle nostre numerose domande. Grazie per la bellissima esperienza, ci è rimasta impressa 🫶🏻

¡Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable y única! Para repetir sin duda. Después de conocer el Etna y Alcantara he quedado de paz en mi interior.

Non ho mai trascorso una giornata così bella con una persona magnifica e colta. Janet è la miglior guida di sempre. Il suo inglese è impeccabile, tant'è che noi italiani abbiamo capito alla perfezione ciò che stesse spiegando, nonostante non fosse la nostra lingua madre. Complimenti!
